Syrian women have been deprived for decades of the right to grant nationality to their children, leaving the latter without official documents or proof of identity. What are the circumstances of Syrian women? Is it necessary for women to have this right? Listen to the problem through voices from the Syrian street and discussion about the issue with the co-founder of the Initiative to Eliminate Statelessness, Rasha Al-Tabshi.

In the 60s of the last century, the Syrian regime conducted a population census that resulted in stealing the Syrian nationality from him and his family. Listen to the stories of two born-stateless people; Alan, whose father was stripped of his Syrian nationality, and Ilaf, who could get the nationality after the Syrian revolution.  Some characters were represented in voice-over, taking into account the specificities of women.

In 2011, shocked at stripping the Syrian nationality from him and his family after he participated in a protest in Tal Abyad in Syria and burned photos of Bashar Al-Assad, Muhannad tells his story and the suffering he and his family faced. The psychologist Jalal Nofal also discusses the psychological effects on stateless people.
